Reverse Image Search
Reverse Image Search allows users to use an image or image section as a search query instead of entering terms. The system analyzes the uploaded file for visual characteristics such as colors, shapes, patterns, or objects contained within and compares these with existing assets in the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. The aim is to find identical or similar images, even if they have been named or saved differently. This function is particularly useful for retrieving unknown images, identifying duplicates or modified variants, and checking where and how an image has already been used. In DAM systems, reverse image search is a helpful tool for visually oriented asset management and supports quality assurance and rights management.
Today, this feature is standard in any powerful DAM solution.
