Asset Metadata Copy

Whether in Advanced or in the NOVA UI: do you want to take the existing metadata from a tagged asset and apply it to further assets, without retyping everything or clicking through copy and paste? The extension «Asset Metadata Copy» copies metadata from a selected asset to one or several target assets – with no time lost.

For more control over the copy process, the extension offers three key controls:

• Permission control – access to the copy function can be restricted to specific users, rather than making it available to everyone in the same way.
• Protection of information fields from being overwritten – individual fields can be locked in the configuration, so existing values aren't accidentally overwritten during the copy process.
• Asset type inheritance from the source asset – if a target asset doesn't yet have an asset type set, it can be automatically inherited from the source asset. In addition, specific fields can be protected for particular asset types.
