Strong Power Duo on Marketing Day 23

Together with our digital asset management partner Sharedien, we participated in this year's Marketing Day – hosted by Swiss Marketing Forum.

At our booth we were able to make new contacts with marketeers and present Sharedien's unique cloud-native DAM system.

The Marketing Day is the most renowned event for marketing professionals in Switzerland. After a 3-year break, the event took place again live at the KKL in Lucerne on April 18, 2023 under the motto «Focus» with around 800 participants.

The event kicked off with a provocative keynote address by Prof. Dr. Stefan Michel, IMD EMBA, «What the heck is going on?»

He addressed the countless possibilities in terms of new technologies that the digital transformation brings with it. With the further questions, «Do you have a marketing strategy? Are they secure?» he got the audience thinking. Using the Netflix success story, he demonstrated what really matters in a marketing strategy.

First, it is crucial to know what is going on in the market. Then, clear and sometimes tough strategic decisions have to be made and implemented. All in the spirit of the motto «Focus».

In addition to the exciting presentations and break-out sessions, there were focus talks on «Change the Business». Here, empirical values and best practices were shared on how SMEs face today's challenges – sustainability and organization – while maintaining focus. Key aspects were: Thinking outside the box, which can be especially helpful for smaller companies, and that companies should always question and redefine themselves.

The Swiss Marketing Forum aptly summarized Marketing Day 23:

We need focus to choose the right one in the huge range of possibilities, tools and channels. To do this, we need to think outside the box and have the courage to try out new things, show attitude and make tough decisions.
