Business Process Management Lifecycle

The BPM lifecycle is a structured approach to managing and optimizing business processes in an organization, consisting of five phases that are completed in sequence. Each of these phases requires careful planning, execution and monitoring to ensure that the desired results are achieved.

BPM Lifecycle

Design Phase

  • Define the business processes that need to be optimized and divide them into several subtasks.
  • Capture all relevant information about the current state of their processes.

Model Phase

  • Identify bottlenecks and optimization potentials
  • Create models to visualize the target state of the processes

Execute Phase

  • Develop solutions and improvements for the identified problems.
  • Implement the planned changes and automations in the processes.
  • Inform and train all parties involved

Monitor Phase

  • Set up mechanisms to continuously monitor the processes.
  • Take immediate action to correct deviations as needed.

Optimize Phase

  • Identify new opportunities to improve efficiency or adapt to changing requirements and market conditions.
  • Implement these improvements in the processes.
